Glad to have a 912 - Temperature Gauge Reading

Added a 68 912 to the garage a couple of months ago which had been sitting (inside) for the last 6 years (only occasionally started).

At some point the car was resprayed, originally it was Tangerine.

Trim has been changed - planning on returning it to original trim.

Rear tires are a bit big - 215/60

Big bore kit, dual exhaust, and Mark Ten B CDI.

Changed the jets (52 idle, F7 tubes, 125 mains, 190 air) and installed 32mm venturis in the Weber 40s yesterday - after setup the car is running great, took it for an extended drive.

What is a "normal" reading of the temp gauge?

I reached the halfway point on the gauge then headed back to the house (my cooling flaps are always open).

Thanks, any information is appreciated.
