Silver powder coat color number to best steel wheel paint

Does anyone recommend a silver powder coat paint brand and number to best match the original porsche steel wheel paint color. My wheels are in such bad cosmetic shape that I don't trust a by eye match.

If you've been through this do you also suggest a top clear coat for extra gloss? Guessing no.

Thanks!

You might go to Stoddards.com and look at the colors of the maxilite wheels they carry as restoration knock-offs for the Fuchs original rims. I did notice they had 914, 930, as well as 912/911 Fuchs mags in different stock colors (all metal, silver mags on black, alum mags on black, all black, etc). Then take a wheel to a powder coating shop that does wheels, and they should be able to tell you the ideal color, and e.g. which silver tone is best.

I had a late 356 with painted wheels using color code RAL 9006 which is a european code for a light neutral silver that's very close to Porsche factory wheel paint color. You can get some small electrical parts finished in this color from Zoro or Grainger on Ebay - just enter RAL 9006 in their search bar & you'll see numerous examples. You can get a piece for $10 shipped, then take it to your power painter for a visual match. I remember these cars on the showroom when new and don't recall them having glossy paint on the wheels - just a very slight sheen.
Good luck.
