Try sliding the seat all the way back, remove front bolts.
Then slide forward & remove rears. If you have hex heads & cant get a socket on it, try a 1/4 inch drive socket which have thinner walls. If possible replace them with allen heads & install in reverse order. Hope this helps Bill |

Get your self a set of these in metric.
Guaranteed you will use them more than once. To repeat, front bolts first, slide seat all the way forward, remove rear bolts. Don't lose the tiny washers. https://www.amazon.com/Craftsman-Sae-Long-Ball-End-Allen/dp/B0777T46W6/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=ball+allen+socket+wrenches&qid=1564596340&s=gateway&sr=8-3 Bill K edit - never mind - I just realized the 912E has 10mm hex head bolts, not the allen head bolts from the 911s. I use a long (8 ") 1/4 "drive extension with a universal joint.
