New project!!!
Over the weekend I came to a decision...time to make some serious modifications to the old 912. After lats of thought I decided to mount a nice little blown 454 BBC under the hood. The transplant engine will produce 1100 HP at 4500RPM, I'm figuring that after tubbing the rear to allow the new WIDE tires to get some traction I should see 1/4 mile times in the mid 7s to low 8s.
I figure I can have it ready for the West Coast rally in August, should be able to make the drive in less than 10hours from Dallas(of course times may increase depending on how much fuel I use...I figure I won't get 30+ miles per gallon anymore). I will also be adding a new splash of color!!! Ivory white is nice but this thing needs to stand out!!! I'm thinking along the lines of a nice 60s psychodelic look...any suggestions? BY the way have a happy " April Fools" day. |
you got me, but so did the wife. The test said KID !!!

I would recommend a 400 small block. An Al block from one of those old sprint cars or whatever would keep the weight down. And you could get the same power to.
On more thought why not make it a "real" Chevy hot rod? By that I mean nothing left from the factory in the car, all aftermarket, everything. Fiberglass hood, fenders, doors, better suspension, ... |
How abour a Tarus SHO V6?
