Suspension pan pics

I need your opinions on these pics. Anybody else ever encounter anything like this?

I think any of us who have replaced sheet metal have encountered this type of stuff. My suspension pan was totally rotted on the battery side which is typical.

First...is that the new pan already welded in? Or is that the new pan that someone in the past welded in? I think it probably the latter...
Looks like a little too much metal was taken out along the left side towards the back(left if your looking from the front to back). The holes on the right side don't look good...but not too bad...get some good sheetmetal(18-22 gauge) and clean the hell outa those areas, let no rust live...once you have the new pan securely welded in place go back and form sheetmetal pieces to path those places...doesn't look too bad...

i have had two 911's with these problems of rust , those pics arn't too bad at least there something to weld to,
My first 911 was not to bad on the outside , but has soon
as I started with that PVC coating , i found that it was the only thing holding the car together, It is alot easier to replace
whole metal parts from resto design then weld them together
and fit and add,
I add some pic of my restoration, new floor pans, front back,
inner ,outer rockers, front supension pan, pedel pan, tank support, two battery boxes, front for the car pan, door pliers,
This is my second time rebuilding a 911

not too unusual. Bad repair in common place. cut back past the old work and replace it all. MIG it in and seal it well.

74.. nice work you got some hours in that one.

Thanks to everyone for their input, I'll post more pics as we go. Removed somemore metal the other day. Has anyone ever exposed the housing that the bolts that hold the front suspension crossbar? They look like little inverted cones.

Real nice work 74!

Thanks, Mike

the owner drove it out from cal to n.m. had complained about lack of heat last winter. No wonder.. looked under car and saw what was left of the original floor pans hanging down. He had some mech several years ago "repair" the pans supposedly, in reality all that was done was to tack weld in some thin steel pieces over the old pans without doing any treatment. Looks like most of the moisture had come in from the soft window area on the drivers side and pooled in the floor. So I have my work cut out for me. The pics are after I have trimmed the old flooring and the pieced in sheets. Having to drill out the spot welds that remain to remove the remainder flooring. Will keep all posted on outcome.

NOT TO BAD BUSDAD, THERE LOOKS LIKE ALOT OF METAL TO WELD TO, JUST LOTS OF GRINDING

NYC65912 THE FRONT CONE BOLTS ARE VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!
DON'T CUT THOSE OUT, WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE THE NEW PEDEL PAN AND GET THE 911 UP ON BLOCKS SO THERE IS NO MOVEMENT NONE!!!!!! AND TAKE MEASURE MEASUREMENTS FROM EVERYWHERE TO CROSS-REFERANCE THE SUPENSION POINTS
WHEN WELDING IT IN ,BOLT THE CROSSMEMBER AND A-ARMS TO THE PAN AND JACK IT ALL UP INTO PLACE AT ONCE , THATS HOW I DID IT, I'M NOT A PRO, ONLY SECOND TIME WORKING WITH METAL
