Refinishing Fuchs.
 

Can anyone point me to info for refinishing my Fuchs. Kits or instruction. anything would be helpfull.

Hi Howard, here's a pic of my Fuchs restoration which I'm doing in my spare time from working on the suspension pan project.

The flowers and the rim are masked at what I believe to be the proper dimensions. The flowers are about 3/8" exposed, (masked area), the rim is a 1/2" gap between the "wall" and the end of the rim if you hold a ruler into the wheel and let it come across the rim. I bead blasted the wheel, washed it with soap and water and will clean with metal prep prior to priming.

I bought epoxy primer that is supposed to have unreal adhesion to aluminum. I will then paint with Eastwoods satin black wheel paint and clear coat with Eastwood's satin clear. I'll keep you posted on the progress.
