Type I WEBER Intake Manifold
 

A friend is looking to sell the Webbers off his Type 1 VW.
Can anyone tell me if the bolt pattern and porting dimension on a Type I VW intake manifold, is the same as a 912, or does it depend on the size of Webbers?

If I understand you correctly, the port spacing, size and bolt pattern on a type 1 head is different than that of a Porsche 912. The Webers themselves, however, will mount to either a manifold specifically made for the conversion to the 912 (or small adapters to the original Solex pattern manifolds) or to the Type 1 VW with the appropriate manifolds. The bolt pattern/spacing is the same with the IDF's which I assume we're talking about. There are also the IDA's which have a different pattern.
