oil strainer leak

hi, seems like I have a slight seeping of oil from the oil strainer rivet (in the center of the strainer). Is there an easy fix for this? I've read "hit it with a ballpeen hammer", where, how? and do I need to use a sealant (on the gasket) when i put the strainer back on?

Thank you,

Chuck

Clean it real well with solvent suport it from the inside and peen it gently until it is tight. hen flow in some green loc tight. Green is the watery type and will seep in and stop the leak for good.

thanks for input. i took of the strainer, cleaned it, and from inside, used a hammer and a punch to peen it. I also used locktite. so far - no leak!
