Door handle assembly
 

I sent the door handle from a 1969 912 I just picked up to one of the suppliers. I sent it assembled and got it back in pieces. I can’t find a diagram and haven’t figured it out yet as a puzzle. Does anyone know the sequence? I am trying to get this nice enough so I don’t call it a beater .

If possible, please document your assembling success (or snags) since this seems to be one of those dark areas of repair info.

Bill, I think that your diagram is from a 356. I guess I am not good at puzzles. I can't get all the parts to fit in. I took to a local lock guy who gave up doing auto work but he agreed to reassemble. I will see what comes back. If anyone has a junk one taking apart and labelling the order of reassemble would really be helpful.
