Rebuilt Parts
Hello I have a 67 912 I had a Petronix put in found out it was for a 914 what about just rebuilding the distributor, also the fuel pump is leaking rebuilding this? My brake lights in the rear are not working had someone help me found a bad fuse changed it plus a bulb no luck. All my rubber is gone so the connection inside rusted, can I get internals or do I have to purchase the whole light.

Would be easier to purchase the whole light - clean all contacts and check grounds.
For the dizzy you can ditch the pertronix, and rebuild your dizzy using a new set of points. Set it and make sure you have the correct ignition coil. |

What dist. number do you have? re: Fuel pump, rebuild with new kit but use your existing spring (assuming it’s not rusted, broken, etc.) For the brake light check that the tail light assembly is correctly grounded to the chassis. Test your brake light switch (do you have a firm pedal, i.e., no hydraulic leaks?)
Bill Also devices like this are great for finding elect. problems. ![]() |

My distributor is a 009 the one that came on my car was 022. Yes I am planning on getting the parts to rebuild my fuel pump. The pressure switch is leaking, I am sure that is part of the issue. I also need to get the rubber seals for both rear lights inside the right light on of the leads is rusted. We got the left light working thanks for the leads.
