Trying to tow my 67, and was told a VW bug tow bar will work, and I was wondering if anyone had done this or knew for sure before I tried it. any help is appreciated! thanks

Post this question at www.bay912.org there are folks there who have done this and I think used a VW tow bar but not absolutely sure. Craign |

Be careful, keep in mind that it's a manual shifter and it may shift into gear if you hit a bump. I use a flat bed more expensive but safer.

Another option is a tow dolly, I rented one at a U-haul once for 40 bucks. Its just like a trailer, just push it up there and your good to go.

VW Tow Bar
I can't see how the VW bar would work?
I towed an early bug with one and it bolted to the torsion bars, nowhere like that on the 912 to bolt up. Maybe a tow bar from Macpherson strut bugs would work?
