Attention North East 912ers

Hello, this is Eric Smith announcing our N.E. 912 Registry meet Sunday Sept. 28th. I would like to let you know what we have in store for this weekend. I have found a location for our meeting that should be conveniently central for everyone. The location will be Hyland Orchard and Brewery in Sturbridge, Mass. Enclosed are directions and a link to their website. They have a wonderful facility equipped with grounds a facility for serving hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, soft drinks, ice cream and more. We plan to meet at 1:00pm and we hope to see you there. Please RSVP by Friday the 19th so that I can give the Brewery staff notice and a rough number for attendance. Thank you again and hope to see you there.

Arnold Road (north of Rout 20) is about 1 mile west of the entrance to
Old Sturbridge Village, which is located on the south side of Route 20. I
can't think of an explicit landmark on the north side of Route 20 to mark
to help folks find Arnold Road. If they're westbound on Rt. 20 and run
into the traffic light that denotes the end of Rt. 148, they've gone too
far. Arnold Road is halfway between Rt. 148 and Old Sturbridge Village.

Well, since you put me back on the road in such style I'll have to try to make this one... (slight possibility of a conflict, but looks pretty good)

I would love to make it. How many 912's are there in the NE. I had a guy in a dead mint 69 Maserati pull up, smile, and say..."My god, I haven't seen a 912 in 30 years" My wife and I were floored.

There are a few - I hope Jim Clark has his engine back together so he can make it. I think there are a few from CT and maybe Long Island that might make it.

There's a general 'fall foliage run' going on the day before as well - could make a fun weekend of it:

It's being organized by the 911 board moderator; there should be a bunch of cars there. I'm hoping to make both.

evedently there is an all Porsche swap meet and car show in burlington, Ct on sept. 13th (see web site above). i will hopefully be driving my '66 912, any other 912s locally?

I'm still not sure I can make it, but if I can it looks like I'd be there by 10:30 or 11 (I know, I'll miss everything good at the swap if I'm not there in the first 5 minutes... never was very good at that, but it'll be a little over 2hrs to get there for me anyway...)

Looks like I'll definitely be able to make the 28th now in Sturbridge. How about you two New Yorkers? Should be getting into better foliage time by the end of the month up here as well.

Hello All,

Great to hear some of you will make it to Sturbridge. Just droppin a line to say that I'll be at the swap meet in Ct on the 13th all day with LOTS of parts, probably a few motors and maybe a '67 912 on a trailer for sale.....who knows what I'll have, but I'll be there. Hope to see you all there and in Sturbridge the following Sunday.
