the next steps...
I'm off the "paint it orange" kick...
The latest...I'm gonna paint it satin black (not glossy)...and lower it another 3/4 to 1" or so.... yeah...full moon hubcaps too...to finish off the "lakester" look...and the 964 decklid with the moveable wing.... sjd http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1064441977.jpg |
Good pic, I have been contemplating putting flat discs on my white 68 but was wondering what it would look like. I had an old chevy truck
years ago that I had painted satin black, I liked the look but I also have a signal orange 70 E and I do like that also. Separate note, do any of you pelican heads ever get together on Sat mornings, my daughter plays volleyball and I am in Atlanta almost every weekend from now until first weeks of November. What is that in the left side of the pic? Keep up the good work. |
Looks like an outlaw 912 in the works Steve! Very cool. 'course the purists will find you sooner or later and beat the living c@#p out of you. Let me know when they show up- I've got your back!
:) Morrie |
You are right Morrie, screw the purists, set it up the way YOU want it and the way you want to drive it!
While I do believe in originality, modern technology goes a long way in making a classic car a more comfortable, exhilarating and safe drive. I am also discovering geographic region has a bit to do with how you set your car. Taking mine to LV will require "non-original" modifications to make it a good driver for that particular area. Alright!! Morrie you convinced me!! I'm turning Nicole into a 930 clone!!! Just kidding, Atlporsche...thats going to look nice!!! Kinda curious ...did that 964 deck fit right with no mods?
