I gave 350.00 for the one I have and it sounds like yours, a rod out of it. You could take it apart and get more for just the parts that way the buyer will know the condition inside. I didnt know how mine was inside until I got it home. Post some engine numbers so we know what year.

Question Buyer Beware

Sell as is or take apart, that is the question. Well you can sell the engine as a recent rebuild with low miles and a big bore kit to someone who thinks he need only replace a rod. Or you could do the right thing. Take it apart and see what happened. My engine did not have a knock but has worn bearings which are 030 over 020 under. The case being align bored 3 under with a crank ground 2 under with worn bearings is worthless. Try to get those bearings. Grind the crank 3 under, I dont think so. Don't screw your fellow porsche owners. If the crank is good and cam and followers and case sell as parts. Just bitter I guess cause I can't fix my 66. DG

You've got the cart before the horse man. You need to tell us what is wrong with it and we can tell you what its worth. Seriously, the condition is 90 percent of the determination of value. Bearing size, head condition, and so on....

I know you said you might part it out this summer but I need your generator stand sooner than that.
