Alignment problems
 

Hello again,
Before i make a mistake, I think its best i ask you guys.

I just put new tires and had and an alignment done,
The ride height is OK.
The guy at the shop showed me the the right front wheel will not align, he adjusted it to the max(the 2 nuts) and still the bottom center of the tire kicks into the car. Maybe 1 or 2 degrees, i cant say for certain but if you look at both tires you can see the right tire is at a little angle.

I would like to fix this, but what would you recomend, At the tire shop they told me to go and see this guy who will put it in some kind of a Jig and with hydralics pull the bottom of the tire out.

That sounds pretty rough on the 66. I dont want to cause a bigger problem. Anything you guys can recomend will be great.

I am not an expert on suspension but maybe your A-arm is bent down or in on that side. Can you see any difference between the left and right A-arm angle to the floor as the car is sitting on the wheels?

Worn A-arm bushings on that side?

Could a wrong strut on that side cause the angle or a bent spindle on the strut?

Maybe you need to pull the struts and compare them side by side.

Was the car ever in an accident on that side?

Thanks for the info.
I will check it out the A Arm and the other parts you mentioned.

It hard to say if the car has been hit, the car has been paint atleast 3 different colors, The doors dont line up correct and the front hood is a little off, under the car looks pretty much ok with no major dents.
It hard to say if the car was hit or was just put back together wrong.

No camber adjusts on a '66 if I remember right. I am told to align the 66-67 to 68 specs as the handling was imprved by the new numbers...

No Adjustment
 

On a 66 the top of the shock is held in a rubber donut. No adjustment. The bottom of the wheel with everything else is on a fixed ball joint. No adjustment. The only thing that you can do is adjust the toe in with the tie rods. I would go to the turbo tie rod for a better means of adjustment. If the wheel is not straight this is your only adjustment.
