Quick question
The turn signal lights on the rev counter are they always lit?
Mine are, is this normal? Been like it since I had the car. Could it be the relay? Any ideas? Cheers Nige |
Hello Nige,
Well when my 912E was running  up until 4 weeks ago, I dont believe that the turn indicators stayed lighted, on the dash, when not in use. Not sure about the fuse or relay (if there is one associated with the turn indicator). Just a WAG, however I would suspect the actual switch assembly. I recently had to replace mine. Long story however, the H4s required relays to be installed, limiting current going to the high-beam switch (same switch as the turn indicators). It doesnt take much to melt/fuse the contacts together ... Good Luck my friend, Bob |
Check all the grounds real good, front turn sig bulb sockets front and rear and all those brown wires. I dinked around for hours on mine and that was the problem, somehow without a good ground the current feeds back thru the bulb? Strange things happen when there is not a ground.
