Which ignition system?
 

Hello again,
I am planning on putting on an electronic ignition.
A friend of mine told me to put on a electronic iginition system from a 2000 beetle,(down here in mexico they still make the classic beetle)
Will I get more spark?
Or do I need to buy one of those modules?

As of now my engine is hopped up, but I dont think I have a hot enough spark. Anything you can recomend would be great.

I run a pertronix in a Bosh 050 disty. most of us doing this have had pretty good luck. Just getting rid of your points will nog give you a hotter spark though, it just stays in adjustment and doesn't wear. MSD or a hot coil (Pertronix Flame Thrower) will help with the spark. Bosh Blue coils are pretty well used all around but are kind of old news....
