Does anybody made an affordable shift gate for a 5 speed???

Thanks but looks too complicated for me and probably expensive.

I was thinking of a simple plate with the shifting pattern machined into it that you could screw down to the shift lever base to guide the shift path.

I have thought of the same thing Ron. I worry that it would force the shifter into stressing the linkage and I wouldn't know it. What I would like to find is a 'sort of' short shift kit. Just taking maybe 10-20 percent out of the throw. This would still give me the feel I want, save the syncros, and not feel like a screwdriver in a bowl of marbles (Yes, all my bushings are new)....

Just thinkin....
