I just finished putting the Webers on my 912. (From CBP) I took everyone's fantastic advice and everything went perfect! I replaced all the gas lines, filter, plugs, etc. Went with the carb adapters insted of the new Weber manifolds that came in the kit. (Pierce Manifolds). With all odds and ends spent just north of $825 bucks. Jumped in...turned the key and it fired right up. I didn't turn anything except the ilde adjustment screws! Like everyone said...runs 1000% better.

One small problem. It's all coming back to me now. I had a '67 I bought with Webers. If I turn off the car and didn't wait for at least a few minutes, It will backfire and sound like a gunshot at startup. It just happened to me with the NEW conversion on my '69. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do I have some adjustment issues? Again, thanks everyone for their great suggestions.
