I wanted a 36mm x 1/2" drive socket for the generator nut but was not willing to pay $28.00 for one from Snap-On. So I bought a used one off e-bay for $13.00 which I thought was a good deal.
Later I found one in my catalog from JC Whitney in Chicago (1-800-867-4227). It has a few other bargan priced items worth mentioning to you. Item AHG144740A 1/2" drive 36 mm chrome vanadium socket $5.99. Item AHG075527P Bosch Blue 12 V coil $26.95 (with proper decals). They also have a 6 volt for 356 owners. Item AHG492145U 12V Hard Start Relay Kit $12.95. You might want to subscribe to their catalog. Thanks, Ron D

I have one for sale only $75.00. Comes with instructions.
The 36mm socket is a lot easier to use to turn the engine over while adjusting the valves. I believe it's the same size for the rear axle nuts. Thanks, Ron D

Cheap
Will the JC whitney socket take 450 lbs of torque? They sent me the wrong top for my alfa and when I sent it back they kept my money. filed chapter 11 or something, continued to do business and send catalogs but didn't have to pay for back orders etc. Still pissed. DG
