hood latch comes undone

The subject sums it up. The latch on my 912 seems to work fine when I shut the hood but if I hit a bump at moderate to slow speeds the hood latch gives. This could be dangerous. How do I fix this? Do I put more slack in the cable?

Thank You

Ran

To those of you who e-mailed me, thanx. The cable housing had separated from the body in two places closest to the hood latch. I had those rebrazed and no longer have the latch releasing.
