there are two thin rubber hoses running off each side of my webers that lead to nothing...one of them is plugged with a screw, and the other is open...they are just sitting on each side of the engine compartment...i have scanned through various sources but have no idea what they are for, or why one would be plugged and the other not...THANKS!!!

Plug every hole that you can find that is not needed. In other words don't plug all of the neccessary fuel inlet holes, the main venturis, ilde mixture screw holes, etc.

josh, good call on plugging, made a significant difference...i still have some flat spots when i reach a certain point of depressing the accelerator, but i plan on getting ahold of the Haynes manual before i start adjusting...thanks for the help
