Stereo System

I am still quite illiterate when it comes to the whole Porsche thing. While I adore my 912, I have so much to learn. Right now I am just interested in getting her on the road. I am in need of a new battery and can't find an affordable anywhere around here. And now to the point of this post, I have an Alpine CD system in a BMW I am wanting rid of. Would it word to pull that system and put it into the 912? The 912 has the original stereo still installed (not working) and I don't want to mess with the integrity of the original appearance. So, I was thinking about "hiding" the CD system under the dash or thereabouts. Any suggestions and/or warnings? And while I'm at it, anyone know how much the Maestro charges for his engine massage? Thanks!

You should be able to find an affordable battery almost anywhere. Just find a battery that fits. If you want the original size battery Wal-Mart has them.

Harry Pellow had one of his engines at the Dunkel Bros Swap Meet and wanted $10000 for it, $8000 with an exchange.

Thanks, I appreciate the input. Unfortunately, the WalMart here is terrible with their stock so I had to opt for AutoZone as far as the battery goes.

Exclamation

I have my panasonic 6 cd changer "wedged" into the "drivers right" side wheel well. It's a natural, and it fits snug. No need for anything to attach it.

I don't get any skips and the system works well. I also have a amp...I just used industrial velcro and left it in the trunk. So far, so good.

Thumbs up

Oh, forgot...regarding Maestro's engines. I paid close to $9k for a complete, and I do mean complete rebuiild. It was worth every penny.

I have a little under 6k miles on my rebuild. It gets stronger and brawnier as time goes on - just like the Maestro said it would. Alas, it's in storage now - I'm at the South Pole for a 14 month stint. She'll be there when I get back though!
