Cool full flow oil filter conversion ?????

im thinking this is a must mod when i do my engine seeing that its already out of the car it would be easier to do now. any one done this is there a kit ?? i read on the renlist of a guy who did this himself by tapping into the case......any other suggestions or info?

The guy who rebuilt my engine has a full flow system on his. Next time I see him I'll ask him.

It is not advisable to do this mod with out stripping the engine down. When drilling and tapping the case you will get swarf in the oilways and the need thoughly cleaning out.
If you choose to do the job the oil will need to come out of the case from the boss on the engine front cover just below the fuel pump. It needs to go back in through the boss to the left of the distributor. Then you will aslo need to blank off the oilway where the oil normaly exits the front cover and enters the main case by tapping the oilway M12 and fitting a grub screw. The oil filter bracket should be available from any proformance VW specialist. They should also have the fitting which should be 3/8 BSP. I am currently building a motor which has full flow oil filtration and could mail you some pics if that would help.

COOL this in my opinion is a must have upgrade....... ill do it before i put this motor together thanks guys Please Anyone
