Recently bought a 1966 912 and has just gotten to know it a little better. A lot of details must be fixed i am afraid. Hopefully, this forum can be of vital assistance. As you may have gathered, I am a norwegian, living in Oslo. Tha car was bought new in Sweden. Its original color i Irish green (black at the moment i am afraid). Now, a q. Does anyone know anything about the outside temperature gauge, and how it is connected? The wire is loose and I havent got a clue where its supposed to be going.

Congrats on your purchase of a 912!
The thermostat, were is it? I don't recall there being a thermostat in the 912. Pictures would be nice. I'll check the wiring diagram but I think that your thermostat is aftermarket. Good Luck ------------------ Joshua Harrison 1968 912 Coupe |

Are you sure its a wire, and not a temperature probe. I have one of these with a long wire on it, and it's actually supposed to be outside of the car...
