You might try Stoddard. He has a very extensive catalogue of parts for the 356/912. Duke, 69 912.

Hello
The Porsche spare parts cataloge has all the parts listet including there DIN numbers. Some things like the 14 mm hexagonal bolts and nuts are not used anymore and replaced by 13 mm and will be replaced by 12 mm in some years. The Würth company stocks nearly all DIN parts and can suppley even impossible items as long you order a bunch off them. Finding KAMAX or VFD bolts is very hard as those companys changed there names. If you don't have the Maestro's book, Secrets of the Inner Circle, you should get it. He details, step by step and nut by bolt how to disassemble and assemble a 356/912 engine. I have the Hayes type manual, but the Maestro's book has so much more detail and is easy to follow.
There are links to The Meastro's site from the 912 registry. This book could save you a second tear-down if you are assembling the engine yourself. I know that I would have had extra washers stuck in my heads and that would have resulted in oil leaks, if I hadn't followed "Secrets". You may not need it but it was my first re-build and I found it invaluable. Adam White 68 912 Coupe. |
