Post Need info on Gen wires

Can some one thell me were a wiring Dia. I need to know which is which on a Gen with a 87mm body, The old gen had a spade and an eye loop and ground, This one just has two post that are not marked. Steve

I stripped back the wiring. I have a thick Red wire, a thick Brown wire and a small black wire. The two posts sit at 12 and 10 oclock which post is the Battery and which is the Field. Steve

I'm prety sure the left post is red, the right post is black and the brown wire goes to earth on the gen body. That's what it's like on mine anyway.
