I am about to purchase a '69 - 912. Do I need to worry or be concerned - about the fact , I see no parts, or section listed on pelican for 912's. Are they so uncommon, so few, that I will have problems down the road?? Thanks for your replys...

Hi,
All things considered, it will be easier to restore the 69 than an earlier model. 69 to 73 model years stayed pretty much the same, so you can scavenge 911's for interior and body pieces. You have more tire and wheel options due to the flares. The engine parts and other drivetrain components are sometimes hard to find, but are available. Look at it this way. If it was easy to do everyone would have one. Good Luck, JMB..... |

Parts are out there...even for the early '65-'67 cars.
I use the Maestro (www.hcpresearch.com) for engine parts and support. There are several web sites that have junks or parts cars. www.pap-parts.com in Georgia is a good source. Also, Automobile Atlanta (www.***********.com) has a 912 Catalog; they also have parts cars. Good luck, and happy motoring. Dean --------------- south pole station '67 912 Targa SRW |

Hello
I secound that, the 69 and the 76 912 are sharing more parts with there siblings then the previous modells. At least the man with knowledge can identify pre 69 cars by many little differences in the body an who knows the 912 had a own floorpan ? Most 912 specific parts didn´t changed fom 66-69 only the 912E good a complete own trany and engine compared to others. Grüsse, Roland |
