Question 17" Boxster Wheels for a 69 / 912 ?

Hello
A friend has a set of 17" Boxster twist wheels he is selling cheap, can the wheels be used on my 69 912 ? What about spacers and fender clearance?
Thank you,
Chas

I have 15x7's with 205/60/15's and that's about as big as you can go...I don't think the 17's would fit the wheel or style of the car.Good luck, Mark

The 69s had wheel flares but I don't think the boxter wheels will fit. On my 68 I got an ocassional rub with my 205/60-15s. Also, I doubt, but I could very easily be wrong, that the wheels will fit on the hub, and you'll have to get a spacer. On a side not, what wheels do you have? I personally think that the Fuchs look the best on 68 and 69 912s and they're not that expensive, in comparison to some other Porsche wheels.

Josh,
I am looking for a different look to my 912, at the same time I want a performance wheel, I currently run a set of Fuchs 6 x 15, they came off an old 911. There's little info out there on changing wheel sizes and such.
Thanks,
Chas

I have seen 16" Boxter wheels on a 914, so maybe those will fit. I've never had tire rub, I have 6 and 17 x 16 inch fuchs on 205 55 16 tires.

Hello,
I just got a set of 6" X16" Boxster alloys, I'm running 205/55/16RZ tires, nice look and a easy upgrade. I had to use 1/2" spacers to get within 2mm of the original tracking/ geometry of the car. So far so good.
Thanks,
Chas.
