Cool Steve!
I still just can't visualize how ya mounted the motor in there... it was transverse in the scooby and now it's rotated 90 degrees, driveshaft facing towards front. Must be some cool adapters. How about the mounts to attach motor to body? Any update on cooling? Morrie in Texas

what are you smoking morrie...c'mon buddy you can't be serious...
subaru motors are flat fours. just like porsches...the crank runs front to back, just like porsches... spin it around 180 degrees, it looks just like a 912 motor would look with 30 years of development....they really are close to being the same... the lower pulley in the pic with the alternator is the crank pulley. sjd

geez man, I guess the memories of my 87 Subaru are clouded.... Now it all comes back to me, right down to the 81 Brat and 84 wagon with the spare sittin squarely on top of the motor.
As far as what I am smokin, its good stuff! ;-) Morrie

I was thinkin inline 4 like everyone else in the modern world uses, or by vast majority. Sorry for my thoughtlessness. Still, I am curious about cooling. Have you actually tried anything or still working on theories?

Good luck dude. You externally cooling both oil and antifreeze? Maybe there is something you can learn from the cooling system on a 996 as it is the same setup plus a couple cylinders....

Cool! Now it's time to hook everything up, I suppose. How are you going to handle the exhaust?
