Yowzers... my clip might not help you much, its hit close to the same area.

FenderGuy 05-06-2004 11:30 AM

The roller is looking better and better

cgarr 05-06-2004 01:03 PM

Not too bad if its just sheet metal and your going to do the work yourself? But, If you need to hire it done? was the price rite?? I love body work like this!!!!

Sisters husband get body work done for cheap, just need to get the parts to fix it ...or another thought would be just put the interior and motor, trans, etc in to a roller. Which I am looking at one at the moment...911 cab roller, now how crazy is that a 912e cab or for atlporsche a suburu powered cab(sounds interesting) :D

Repair that one ( if you can ) . It was a low mileage car , and really well kept.Ofcourse it will cost you some money.....

912 Ees are getting rare ,especially good ones.

I will see if I can repair it but would rather put the bits and pieces in this http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1083887700.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1083887867.jpg
minus the front c-2 look and get orignal turbo front and rear and maybe fenders

atlporsche 05-07-2004 08:56 AM

I can get you my number....

I'm always up for a project, and will have the 911 subframe jigged soon...;)

So I am not crazy anymore :D I got that car for the parts I would need for the other roller, trans, motor, etc...Always up for another project? Anyway you can come over and help me this project together! Sounds like a interesting project though, was going to try to do the 912e motor first, but with the cab weight being more then the 76 body, I doubt it would be able to handle it ..

"was going to try to do the 912e motor first, but with the cab weight being more then the 76 body, I doubt it would be able to handle it .." Jake, sounds like your services are needed! FenderGuy, Jake can make that little Type 4 move the cabbie real quick. The 912E's body is the same as the 76 911S. What you have is restorable and 912E's are really going up in value (compared to 74-77 911's). You could rebuild the "E", sell it, and get the cabbie and have enough $$ for Jake to build you an awesome motor. Just a thought...

I think Jakes comments above seem to indicate this 912e is doomed, hmmm I dont know if this 912e would ever hit cabbie prices? The most I have seen a 912e go for is 18k and I even think the seller still has that car.

atlporsche 05-07-2004 12:02 PM

a flat four scooby engine will move it really well....as for coming over...well, scottsdale is quite a drive....that's not cab anyway is it???it's a coupe with the top lopped off...no?

part out the E, and sell the e engine to someone doing a resto...we can porscharu it...
