Midwest event anouncement (Taj Ma Garaj show June 4-6)

its about time again for John Dixon to have his annual Kruzers event in Dayton, Ohio. if you have never been to this even it is a must for any porsche fanatic in the midwest.

Now granted.... this event is the same weekend as tweeks fun fest. Tweeks is a cool event, but honestly this has got to be one of the best posrche events in the midwest that i have been to (and i have been to alot of different events!)

John Dixon, owner of the Taj Ma Garaj collection, will have his annual concourse, auto-x, driving tour through the back roads of south west ohio the weekend of June 4-6. The concourse is a show what ya bring event.. all wash & shine, featuring some really beautiful porsches. On display as always, but not copmpeteing, will be a number of cars from Johns collection.. a carrera gt, and a freshly restored 73 RS will be some of the newest additions to his collection on display. Last year he had his 959, a very rare 964 slant nose, as well as some other very tasty, very rare, and amazingly immaculate porsches. perhaps his all original 550 spyder or even his perfect 69 912 coupe with only 12k on the clock as well? (yes.. only 12,000 miles.. original everything, just as it came off the show room. i would say the "louise" of the east coast".. )


The crowd is great too. Very Down to earth, friendly, and some of the greatest characters you could meet. and the cars.. nothing but porsches, and a few scattered vee dubs. anything from mild to wild, full concorse classics to daily drivers.

Also, most importantly, all procedes from this event go to the
Miami Valley Ronald McDonald House charities.

A very intreaguing addition has been made to this years itinerary. To celebrate the opening of the new wing of his museum, John has decided to open his doors to the public, so that they can see his amazing collection, which is usually only available by appointment.

also there will be a raffle to win a 2004 VW Beetle Convertible.

as john said, "It's not as fast as your Porsche but chicks dig it." (perhaps he meant newer porsches.. but the sentament is there )

great friends, amazing cars, lots of great driving fun.. and its all for a great cause. well worth the time and money to come to dayton to have a great weekend.

June 4th: Taj Kreuzer Pre-Party: Signature Kreuzer cars and a tailgate party deluxe at the Quaker Steak and Lube Restaurant, in Beavercreek, on Friday night from 6PM until midnight! We want to see a parking lot stuffed with sports cars and hungry people. There will be a Kreuzer signature tasty bit offered on Quaker Steak and Lube special menu and the proceeds will be shared with the Ronald McDonald House. Come early and find a place for your butt and your road rocket. Start a Kreuzer buzz that will last all weekend.

June 5th: 9AM Taj Kreuzer Driving Tour: Nothing like a spirited country ride and some early morning road chow to put you in the Kreuzer frame of mind. We'll blow through the country side for 70+ miles to end up at Carillon Park for the Taj Kreuzer Concours: with a special place to park your smokinš beast! Sign up fast as the cap for this will be the first 75 cars. $15 per car.

June 5th: Taj Kreuzers Concours & Car Show: You show us yours and wešll show you ours. All the faithful and fossil fuel expenders are called to assemble at Carillon Park for a gala event from noon to 5PM. $15 pre-registration a must for a poster, program and tube steak de jour. ONLY THOSE WHO PRE-REGISTER WILL GET THE FREE PROGRAM, POSTER AND LUNCH! $15 at the gate per car. Awards and door prizes galore.

June 6th: Taj Kreuzers Autocross: The Western Ohio Region of the Sports Car Club of America Inc. hosts the Taj Kreuzers Autocross at Kil-Kare Speedway Park on the high banked oval. Pre-registration entry Fee is $30 and limited to pre-registrants only. All competitors welcome, special Porsche class available. JUST THE FIRST 50 TO PRE-REGISTER WILL GET OUR SPECIAL EVENT PROGRAM AND POSTER!

June 6th: Larry's Off Road Drag Races: Join Larry's Off Road and the VW brethren at historic Kil Kare Dragway. Pre-registration entry fee is to be announced.

June 6th: Taj Museum Walk: The old Taj is opening the vaults and you can be there! The doors will be open from 10-4 for a $10 admission fee for two and includes poster for only those who pre-register.$10 at the door day of show. We keep the poster.
