oil pressure/temp
Can someone walk me through the hot set up for seeing oil press and temp through an appropriate gauge on my 912? I've read somewhere that there is an old 911 gauge that can be used,....what year? what sending unit(s) apply? What magic if any is required?
Thanks, Jim (newly minted '68 swt owner)

N Hollywood Speedo
Jim,
Welcome to the club! The 911 gauge you are referring to is the same gauge your 912 uses for oil temp/e-brake light. The gauges themselves can be swapped into this gauge fixture. Call N Hollywood Speedo and have them do it for you. They will calibrate the new temp and pressure gauges to senders and send it all back to you. They even silk screen the new gauge faces to match the rest of your gauges. Last time I checked, it was about $200 for this. I moved my e-brake light bulb to the bottom of the fuel gauge since I never let mine get low enough to turn that light on. Also, since you are new to the 912's, come see us on the 912 Registry and register your baby. We have more 912 forums (very active too) at www.912bbs.org --Tony |
