New guy

Hello everyone. I recently purchased a 1967 912. Needs alot of work but I'm very excited.

I was wondering where the best place is to look for resoration parts/classifieds etc. I know Pelican offers many items. Just wondering what else is out there, and the good or bad experiences youv'e had.

I was also wondering if it's appropriate to ask for parts for sale in this forum, or is there a different forum for parts.

I'm new to this so I'm not 100% sure which 911 parts work in my 912.

Thanks for any reply.

welcome!!! there's a 912 registry, so be sure to get your VIN listed. I have a '67 as well...but i'm a hotrodder at heart.

see my sig for the links.

we're working on a forsale section at the bbs site, and tying it in to the registry.

go check out the http://www.912bbs.org/index.php and click on the "Links" section in the top right. There you will find most of the usual places that we find parts and accessories for our cars. Good luck with your new car and welcome aboard.

Level912, welcome aboard - on your '67 pretty much everything
from a 911 (same year) will interchange other than the engine and rear motor mounts. What part of the world are you located you may be near some good used/recycled part places. Good luck.

Jerome, I'm in Sparks Nevada. Right next to Reno. Not to far from the bay area, San Fransisco is only about 4 hours away and Sacramento is 2 hours.

If you have specific questions I would suggest you PM one of our members sweetheart912, I went up to visit him today, we bought a car together mainly for parts, you would not believe his collection, anyway I know he would be glad to help and he KHS
(knows his stuff) I was actually thinking of a four letter word that started with a s, but seriously, he does, great guy too. Again welcome aboard to the P-car world.
