912 Tansmission mounts
The original design trans mount is at best . . well . . not so great. I've seen threads suggesting replacing the whole setup with the 911 type support. While this does a much better job with a far superior design a new one runs nearly $800. Used ones of the correct layout are hard to find. Question to you all. Has anyone come out with an improved replacement rubber or has anyone done any experimenting with different types of material ? I have to think with all on the new materials that are being used for bushings and such that something could be done to give us another solution. Maybe some enterprising company that is looking to expand their product line.
