new 912 progress!
 

Yep,
Got some real help from a few listers, a nice group of people here in the 912 community. Just goes to show that the car hobby is alive and well. I call it MGCARMA in the MG world...you need a part, someone sells you one for a good price, or points you in the right direction, someone needs a part, you do the same...perhaps PorscheCarma? It just rejuvenates my faith in the car hobby! You guys are great!

email him as he has some fantastic parts for sale, still has some great bargains!

Eli Karchov in Falls Church gave up his sunday morning to help me move the engine into my truck...not to mention nearly get squashed by it! he's ok.
Let me tell you, how he fits Porsche time in with two fantastic kids and a extremely nice wife (translation...does not give him a hard time about how much time he spends with porsches)...I will never know....hats off to you Eli!

Really nice to meet these people in the area. Eli took me for a ride in his 912 and it was NICE! nice burbly exhaust note, and a fast little car....makes me look forward to dropping in my engine!

We both got some nice bargains and a great day was had by all. Only wish I could have stayed longer...had a guy coming from Florida to pick up a car....calls me two hours before he arrives to let me know he is coming!

Looking forward to the next swap meet, anyone know when the Dulles area PCA swap meet is?
