Timing Scale for a 912E (type 4 engine)

All,

I am having trouble finding a timing scale for a 912E. This is the half moon part that runs from the top fan bolt over to the left fan bolt. It has graduations from Top dead center in four degree increments to ?30ish" degrees before TDC. Basically it is the timing reference point for the car. Mine is missing and I need to swap the points.

I have a great work around from another BB, but would like to find the correct part.... Anybody got an extra lying around, or know of one?

I have tried the VW sources and Parts heaven... No luck.

Thanks..

Mike

Almost every VW bus engine I've ever seen has one.
Try a VW parts place or some local VW mechanics- shouldn't be tough to find.

Well.. After calling every VW bus place on the net, and a couple of other BUG shops, I think I found one of these things. It seems that VW is no longer producing them, and the inventory has dried up.

Thanks for all the help.
