Bursch is the only way to go in my opinion.

Yes, but if you go Bursch, stip the paint (since it will peel shortly after installation) and get the system powder/ceramic coated first.

Bursch, definately.... when i first bought my 912 there was one of those four out manta racing exhausts on it and it was loud as hell.... the bursch has a nice throaty sound and is reasonably priced.

I used the Bursch headers 1 5/8 tube I cut the heat boxes off the J pipes and installed them on the Bursch so I would have heat, not really that big a deal, Keeping the heat was a must for me. Had to kind a dink with the muffler set up too ta get it just right.

Yes, its a good fit. Just out of curiousity, what exhaust/muffler are you currently running? If you have a OEM muffler dont change, IMO its far better than the Bursch... Bob

The exhaust that I have now is what they called a "monza" or I have seen lately called "manta". It's kind of loud for my taste. Sounds like a loud VW Bug.

That type of muffler makes your 912E sound like a beach buggy , I know. I used to have one too..... all the kids loved it ! Neighbours hated it.....
It also looks like a beach buggy..... I simply couldnīt look at it. So I took it out , and dumped it. Went for Bursch , which is now modified a bit.... eki |
