Need Input on PCA!

Need Your Input on PCA national and local chapters. I was wondering what your impression was on PCA in general and your local chapter in particular?

Do any of you get involved in the events?

What do you think of PANORAMA?

How about your chapter’s monthly mag?

What would you like to see PCA national and regional chapters change?

Mike,

I am a very recent member of the PCA, so I'm not sure how much help this will be. I purchased my first Porsche this past August and joined PCA about the same time.

In response to your questions:

To date, I haven't participated in any of the events. This will change in June, as I plan on attending the Parade for several days.

So far, I have enjoyed Panorama. The November issue was helpful in providing information on the Parade events. My Chapter newsletter seems pretty limited, but I still read it anyway in case there is something that pertains to my interests.

My primary interest with my car is not autocross or racing, but more along the lines of maintenance and restoration. I would be interested in anything concerning these topics.

The one issue that seems to come up in frequent discussion is the lack of visability for the 912, as well as other "less popular" models. Most articles in Panorama seem to be directed at the later cars, in particular the 911/993/996/Boxster (et al). The vintage vehicle that seems to garner the lion's share of the ink are the 356's.

I'm sure that articles have been published on the other Porsche models out there, such as the 924/944, etc.. but as I have only seen a few issues of the magazine, I cannot recall much attention devoted to these cars.

Thanks for asking for my opinions. I hope the other members of this forum will take time to add their input as well.
