According to my info you have a 67 912 body with a 65 911 engine. Paint code 6601 is a 66-67 slate gray.

Fender flares did not appear until the lwb 69 models. The engine number & chassis number tells it all. Many older cars have been modified for various reasons, some due to body damage??

I guess a Slab Side 67 or 68 SWB.

Not sure if it started life as a 912 or 911 since the engine and tach appear to be 911 and could have been swapped in.

The 68's had unique inside door panels.

If it was a 67 or 68 912 than you should see evidence where the center 912 motor mounts were removed and the rear 911 motor mounts were added for the 6 cylinder.

I'm guessing '67 or early '68. Looks like the door handles are push button. Officially '67 was the last year for that due to roll over safety issues.

I see he says he has this one:

"1968 912 Coupe w/ Sunroof"

which sounds suspiciously like the pics.

Of course that engine is not a 912.

Its definitely not a '68, no side marker reflectors, the green gauges and covered headlights make it earlier.
