Engine Mount Question

I need some pics of how the 912 engine is mounted. I have a 66 but it looks to have the later style mount. It is the beam with 4 rubber mounts in it. I do not see how this mounts to the engine. I believe I am missing some pieces. I bought the car with the engine out so I did not see how it came apart.

Thanks!

912 engine mount

Get a look at the manual, this is a critical piece of the installation.

There are 4 special bolts that thread into the back of the 3rd piece. Those bolts support a plate that mounts the rubber blocks. The other side of those blocks accepts the support beam.

If you are missing this part of the mount, I have a spare one, as will Easy or Parts Heaven.

Again, read up on this - check the manual or the orange book, you don't want to lose this part of the engine mount due to improper installation.

I have three of the 4 special bolts. I need one of those I know. But the Brackets that were mounted on to the third piece with them do not match the 4 motor motor mounts. Is there a piece that goes between them? I have a shop manual coming. I hope the manual will show what I need.

Which piece are you saying you have a spare of?

Thanks

Here's the part you're talking about that bolts to the 3rd piece with the special bolt.

It looks ratty but 10 min with a wire wheel and some paint will make it good as new.

If you want it - $15 bucks including shipping. If you want me to paint it for you - $25. Email address below.

amazing! The power of the net!

Think about what happened here. Charles, you posted a question at 8:30 - by noon PST a part was enroute to you, total cost less than $20. How can you beat that ?
