 Weber question and rich mix

The car's running very rich and fouling plugs. Mixture screws seem to make little difference( I'M using .50 jets) When I pulled the carb top off to check/adjust the float, I noticed the paper gasket was soaked with gas. The floats were at 9mm, instead of 10. I was wondering if the starter valves were letting fuel up and in and flooding the engine. I though they weren't supposed to work without a choke, but was wondering if I should block them or see how the adjustment of the float does.
The needle valves work fine when closed. Just seemed like too much fuel were it's not supposed to be |

 no starter valves

Get the block off plates and disable them. Almost certainly that's your problem.

 inlet valves

		Thanks Mark
Another thing I've noticed is that the rebuild kit came with a .200 needle valve, the old valves were .175. Does that make a large difference? |
