Interior Question
We recently bought a 1967 Porsche 912 that had been sitting for 35 years. This is our first Porsche ownership and we are learning as we go. One of the things that we haven't been able to figure out is the leather straps that run through the metal bars behind the back seat. Ours were weathered and broken. Can someone explain what they are for? Thanks.

when you drop the rear seats you then have a shelf back there on which you can place your luggage. the leather straps will hold your suitcases in place so that they dont hit the windshield when you have to brake for an errant squirrel on your way up to cottage country. they keeps things tidy.
