Question 1967 912

I went to look at a 67 912 today and I have a few questions. First off, once started and at idle the engine looks like it's rocking from side to side. Is this normal for the 4cyl 912 engines? Owner says engine rebuilt 4 years ago. Also, the only gauge that works in the car is the speedometer. All the other gauges do not work. How much will it cost me to fix all that? Also there is a gap between the front passenger door and the front passenger quarter panel when the door is closed. Is this normal? Thanks in advance guys.

My 356 amd or 912 don't rock while idling If I'm understanding you correctly, guages not working could be many things, fuses, wiring or jsut broken. there are several places who do repairs go to http://www.912bbs.org/ vendor link, I think they list 2 repair shops. The gap I don't know what you mean exactly but I do know that Porsche is known for correct gaps on all panels.
Good luck,
Chas.
