Which battery for a '68 912?

Hey guys...

In your experience, which battery do you think is best for an early model 912? Also, where can I find one? I'm in Portland, Oregon if that helps.

Thanks,

-Matt

optima red top.

battery originality isn't something to fool with.

Optimas are sealed, and don't leak because they're gel inside.

advance auto has them.

Call to order in advance . . .

Must be something in the air - my 1968 912 battery just died last week, too, and I was in need of the same. Anyway, They carry Optima batteries at Sears (I had to get the yellow top b/c the reds were out of stock). Call around because the shops that say they carry Optimas usually don't have them in stock. You need a Size 51R.

Mike (also in Portland)
