Can you mount a 2.2 911 engine in a 69 912?
What is required?

Sure, easy, just shovel it in there
The good news is - the transmission will bolt right up. The bad news is - you need to relocate the motor mounts. You'll need to cut out the 912 motor mounts, and cut / weld in the 911 motor mounts which are located at the rear corner of the engine bay.
Then install the oil tank and you're done. Sometimes you can find the parts on ebay. Good luck. Mark Petry Bainbridge Island, WA |

I am actually doing that conversion right now.
Search for my thread. "Instaling a Oil Tank into a 912 66" Or copy this to youre browser. Instaling a Oil Tank into a 912 66 Hope that helps... Im posting pics of the mounts tomorro probably... and engine in without cutting the 912's out.
