Bursch Euro Exhaust w/Euro Heat

I purchased a Bursch Quiet Exhaust system for my 1968 912, but the kit had Zero hardware with it. I do have a call into Bursch.

However, I am kinda stuck and need to get the engine backin the car. What have people used here before for clamps and does the exhaust and heat exchangers the only thing that keeps this on the car? No hanging clamp?

Sorry for the newbie questions.

Frank

Frank:
The Porsche clamps (circled in yellow in photo below) are the specially-sized kind with 1 bolt/nut that clamps just about all of the surface area. You can probably use standard muffler clamps if there's enough room between the pipes.
As for supports, the photo shows 2 clamped-on supports (orange lines) going to the case. Whether or not the Bursch system is light enough to go without these supports, Bursch will have to answer. Also, you'll see in the photo two small tabs towards the rear of the muffler. These, with adjustable brackets, run straight up to support the rear engine tin. If the Bursch doesn't have these, you can easily rig-up something with some small clamps and McGivered brackets - they don't carry a lot of weight - it's just the engine tin.
Hope there's someone out there with a similar Bursch setup who can throw some add'l advice.
Good luck,
Bill.

Thanks!

Hi,

I have still not heard from Bursch - but will try to at least locate the clamps.

Thanks for the pic - it is very helpful.
