Fuel Pump Problem
I had taken off the fuel pump of the engine as it did not seem to be pushing the fuel through properly. Manually checked the fuel pump with hands and a piece of hose in a bucket of fuel and it worked fine.
I then started to re-fit the pump and it seemed not to fit back on easily to the engine as I started tightening the nuts , suddenly there was a snapping noise and the pump fitted straight in. It seemed all wrong , I took the pump back out and the washer holding the spring onto the pump had broke and the circlip holding the washer and spring has been worn out. To make it worse the washer is in the engine. Anybody know why the pump was so difficult to put back on? Will the pump rebuild kit include these parts and where can i get a kit from. Also whats the best way to get the washer back out of the engine? Any advice will be appreciated !! Thanks. |

I'm not sue about the re-build kit, but to get the part out I would first try a magnet, if the part is metalic that is.
