cooling fan interchangeablilty
I have a 68 Targa with an engine from a 65. I am having a problem with vibration in the cooling fan. I haven't taken the fan out yet to check it, but was told that it is interchangeable with a VW fan part # 113119031B. Does anyone know if this is indeed the case because the Porsche fan costs 4x as much as the VW fan? Any insight greatly appreciated.

I remember someone asking the same question on the 912bbs;
suggest you register there and ask that question on the 912bbs. Its not hard to remove the fan for comparison to a new part, if you have a vibration problem with the fan it needs to come on out anyway - just my recommendation. Good luck. |
