Porsche Crest Northeast '67 912 For Sale

Offered here first to my Pelican pals .... My '67 912 .... could be described as a solid "B" car. Mechanically very good with minor corrosion, some bondo and wanting paint. Engine rebuilt by a pro in winter 2004. Cruises staight and smooth, handles great with good power. This car could be a daily driver in a dryer part of the country or a weekend warrior ... street or track. We are a little over budget on building a new home ... need I say more?
I'll get more info and pix together .. have detailed info going back about 7 years. Think $10,000 is the price this and others like it should sell for but I'm a realist.
Jim in Ma.

Jim! Say it isn't so!

I know how much you've gone through with the car - it's such a shame you have to put it up on the block. Wish I had some 'mad money' to grab it...

Hey Jason ....

It is so but I'm really torn on this. Have been using it as a daily driver while my V70 Glt is in for a rear main seal. Can't fix that myself! The Porsche is running better than ever and I travel about 30 miles round trip on the backroads to work, which really makes the commute a lot of fun .... But I really could use the $$$$. Too many other things to spend money on.

I know, I know.

I just picked up a MIG welder to do some work on mine, but now I'm finding that my engine may be tiring out. My oil consumption is getting higher, and it's now pointing towards the rings. I'm afraid to try to do something with that, because if I open it up, who knows what I'll find!

I know I'd be better off with another car, but it's always the rub - have less money, spend that fixing, or save longer (and -horrors- in the mean time not be able to drive a 912) and just get another car...

Life's interruptions can really get in the way of enjoying these cars!

You still have the store? How's it going?

The store is doing really well ... we are in a real residential growth area lately and we do a lot of cell phones. Really don't want to sell the car but have got a cost overun on the excavation for our new home and I really cant' justify this car ... unless I had time to take it to the next logical step ... vintage racing. Make me an offer .... I'll take the fact that it's going to a good home into consideration!

Sorry all for the personal messages and sales talk ... we'll take it off forum next.
